Police investigating complaints from Cardiff over threats made by Willie McKay after Emiliano Sala tragedy
South Wales Police are investigating complaints from Cardiff over alleged threats made by Willie McKay.Former football agent McKay, who booked the fatal flight of Bluebirds record signing Emiliano Sala in January, is alleged to have threatened to “kill everybody” at the club and confronted senior members of staff in person and over the phone.2

Emiliano Sala’s flight crashed over the English Channel on January 21

The Sunday Telegraph report the alleged threats were made on the weekend of Sala’s funeral last month.A South Wales Police spokesman said: “South Wales Police can confirm that a complaint has been received from Cardiff City Football Club and is currently being investigated.”Sala, a 15million signing from Nantes, was killed when the plane taking him from France to Cardiff crashed in the English Channel on January 21.2

Last week, McKay accused Cardiff of “abandoning” Sala in Nantes after the Scotsman booked his flight to the Welsh capital.On Friday, Cardiff boss Neil Warnock would not comment on McKay’s accusation, but admitted it would be a miracle if the club avoided relegation in the wake of the Sala tragedy. He said: It would be a miracle (to stay up), I have said that all along.But even more so having had to go through what we have had to go through in the last few months. It has just been unreal really, but you just have to get on with it.I think the club has been fantastic, the supporters have never wavered and we have to concentrate on that.
